Negus Chaseβs Directors, David Twyman and Philip Bridges, had known each other and worked together on various jobs since the early 70s. In 1984 they started a business together selling Permastore slurry and industrial storage tanks, which is still a major part of their business today.
In those days The Royal Show was the major trade show of the agricultural industry held annually at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. All major manufacturers of farm machinery were represented at the event, and David and Philip decided to visit the show to look at Eisele slurry pumps. Whilst there they happened to meet the Technical Manager at Westfalia (now GEA), who were looking to consolidate and expand their milking equipment business in the UK. Thus Negus Chase became a dealer for Westfalia in 1986 and have been supplying milking equipment in south-east England for over 30 years. In 2017 Philip was one of the first in the country to pass Parlour Safe Category 3 (Advanced), demonstrating his skill and experience as a dairy technician.
